This legislation allows the Department of Community Health to provide grants to medical legal partnerships.  These medical legal partnerships are nonprofit corporations that have a partnership with medical providers and legal service providers (including law schools) to provide free legal assistance to income eligible patients and families to help resolve legal matters impacting health.
